they're out there!

Well, last night on the radio there was a woman talking about how she'd been abducted by aliens, gone back to their space ship ... etc. We've all heard the type of stories these people tell. in fact I remember when I lived in South Africa, seeing a woman on tv who claimed that, not only had she been abducted by aliens, but that she'd had a child with one of them - apparently she'd lived with them for some months. So, what do you think. Is there life out there? after all, there are so many solar systems out there that surely it would be inconceiveable that the only life in the universe would be on earth? but if there is, why would they want to come to earth and abduct humAnd another thing that's always struck me, whenever people talk about alien abduction, these aliens always seem to take on a human-like appearance, is that not just the human race being a bit too imaginative?

I personally don't know if there are alians, but I don't think there are. I've never run in to any. I had a teacher in high school who claims he was abducted as well. I think he was just a bit messed up in the head. Too many drugs or something hahaha! I do believe in ghosts and spirits, so does that make me weird? haha I dunno. I guess people can believe what they want. If they think they've been abducted, than so be it. What ever turns their crank.

The "abductees" inverted commas want the ufonauts I find Alien to be insulting ...to resemble humans, so in their arrogance, they can believe, these beings are created in our mirror image...considering this what ufonaut in their right mind would visit this planet!...

Well, scientifically it has almost been proven that thousands of planets with earth like conditions exist in the universe, but the closest planet that even remotely resembles earth (even if it is 7 times bigger and with average surface temperatures of 300C) is 15 light years away, to put that into perspective that is 15 * 12 (months) * 30 (days) * 24 *hours) * 3600 (seconds) * 300000 kilometers distance, you do the math, it would take us thousands of years, even with the fastest nuclear missles to rech a system that far and that is litrally next door in unversal terms. I think life exists out there but unless they've managed to re engineer space time and all that sci fi stuff there is absolutely no way that they can ever come visit nor for us to visit them.
I do not believe in the abductees stories, I know lots of straight light phenomina in the sky are caused by satellites or falling stars or sun ray reflections and those may look like space ship lights but I don't think those are ever caused by alien vessles. I wouldn't mingd being proven wrong, it would be so interesting.

i dont believe in that kinds of stuff, its not true. spirits maybe are true but spicies from others solars systems are not true. i really dont believe it. its just a fiction.

Why should it be fiction though. No, I don’t believe that aliens would come to earth, however, given the amount of planets that are out there, not to mention the ones that we have probably not yet discovered, it is unbelieveable that the only source of life of any kind would be on one planet. And when we think about life, we think about life as we know it, oxygen breathing creatures who can only survive under certain circumstances. But it is not beyond the relms of possibility that perhaps, on other planets, life forms may have evolved that can survive under the conditions that exist on those planets. I don’t think they’ll be jumping in their rockets and flying to earth to abduct humans any time soon, but I think that to believe that the only place in the whole universe where there can be life is earth is ludicress.

It would be hard for me to believe that with countless numbers of planets in the whole universe, this Earth is the only planet with something resembling intelligent life out there. Now, why those from other planets would want to visit here unless they wanted a good laugh is anybody's guess. LOL!

I agree that life on other planets could exist. We can't be the only planet with life on it. As for the abductions, I wouldn't want to say they are all made up. I'm not sure why people'd want to make up those stories. Then again, I know it'd be pretty hard to prove that they're real. So for that, I wouldn't know what to believe and would just say that although there is no concrete proof, it could probably still be possible.

It is ludicrous to suggest that Earth is the only inhabited planet,in millions of miles of void, how can this be so..I simply cannot understand this point of view... most abductions contain little creatures about
4ft high, with huge black eyes and grey skin, this is the safe stereotypical image of a ufonaut the human race has created for itself,as anything else like the martians form War of the Worlds, is too horrific.. the greys at least resemble humans, all be it, in a very fantastical way...

I agree with Leilani, and add that I saw on TV once a study that was done. Certain magnetic field energies could actually make people hallucinate, and that could include seeing strange creatures and believing weird stuff.
